What to Bring
1. Wear a pair of sturdy, comfortable walking shoes (runners are fine but they might get wet & muddy)
2. a windproof & waterproof jacket
3. a small day pack
4. A bottle of water
6. binoculars if you use them
9. a sun hat
There is a lovely picnic site that you’ll reach about 1.5 hours walk into the Puketawa Track or 45 minutes into Slip Track. It’s a great spot to have your lunch or a rest & a nibble, so bring something to eat!
If you can do the Tongariro Crossing you can do this!
Walkers undertake the track at entirely their own risk. No camping, fires or dogs (without talking to Michélé first.)
